This SOP provides a standardized framework for developing, reviewing, formatting, and publishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and How-To documents. These serve as training and operational resources for Altus team members across the Altus portfolio and affiliated companies.

? Step 1: Check for Existing SOPs

? Step 2: Start a Word Document

  • Save in: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) folder
  • Use the following structure:
    • Title: SOP Title: [Your descriptive title]
    • SOP Date: As of [Month Year]
    • Background: Purpose/context of the SOP
    • Resource Links: Word Doc + LevelUp URL

? Step 3: Write the SOP

  • Use a clear step-by-step format
  • Keep to one core goal per SOP
  • Use clear and actionable language

? Step 4: Review & Test Logic

  • Think through real scenarios or exceptions
  • Revise for accuracy and clarity

  • Open a new conversation or use your existing SOP Chat

✅ Step 6: Review ChatGPT’s Output

  • Compare ChatGPT’s edits to your original version
  • Ensure no important meaning or logic was lost
  • Paste the cleaned-up version back into your Word Doc

? Step 7: Ask ChatGPT to Generate HTML

  • Prompt: Can you create this SOP as HTML?
  • Use the HTML in the next steps to publish

? Step 8: Log into LevelUp WordPress Admin

✍️ Step 9: Add a New Post

? Step 10: Paste HTML Content

  • Copy content between <body> and </body> in the HTML ChatGPT provided
  • Paste it into the WordPress Text Editor tab

?️ Step 11: Add Title and Metadata

  • Copy the title from the HTML (usually in <h1>)
  • Paste into the Post Title field
  • Select the correct category (e.g., SOPs, How-To)

? Step 12: Publish the Post

  • Click Publish
  • Open the live page and inspect formatting, links, and title

? Step 13: Update the Word Doc & HTML

  • Copy the final LevelUp URL
  • Paste into:
    • Your Word Doc (under Resource Links)
    • Your HTML file (if maintaining a local copy)

✅ Step 14: Finalize

  • Save final documents in SharePoint
  • Notify team members (if needed)
  • You’re done!

  • Keep SOPs tightly focused on a single goal
  • Split complex topics into multiple SOPs
  • Review annually or when systems/processes change
